This 1948 Ford F-3 3/4-ton pickup truck is finished in a red patina, featuring the Great Northern Railway logo, and boasts a solid steel bed. Don't let the looks fool you; this truck has been thoroughly inspected and runs, drives, and operates very well. It is sitting on 8-bolt 17'' factory steel wheels. Overall, the body of this truck is solid, with good body, floors, and frame. Also, the cab and doors have all good glass. Brightwork and stainless steel present well with only minor flaws. There is some minor rust in the areas indicated in the photos. Under the hood is a 239 CID Ford ''Flathead'' V8 engine, paired with a 3-speed heavy-duty manual transmission. It still has the 6-volt system, and everything electrical functions well, except for the radio. The interior appears to be in good condition, and the bench seat is in excellent shape. The gauge cluster has been restored, and all gauges are now operational. This 1948 Ford F-3 is an excellent choice for a hobby farm, museum, or simply for the enjoyment of owning it! Also, it is an excellent complement to our 1949 F-7 Great Northern Railway truck and trailer. Get the whole collection! Please feel free to ask us for more information.
