Seller's Notes

This Toyota is stored in our Aiken, SC climate-controlled warehouse and comes with a current South Carolina title. The vehicle shown is 100% owned, maintained, and driven by us here at Car Cave. For more pictures and information, please visit www.carcaveusa.com. Car Cave keeps a variety of left-hand-drive Land Cruisers and Hilux trucks in stock. Watch the walk-around video on our YouTube channel at https://youtu.be/sd072Iadiog!

The RJ77 shown here is a rarely seen example of the 70 series 4 door chassis with coil spring suspension. The original factory color was resprayed in Toyota Basic White (Paint Code 045), including all the trim, mud flaps, and body. White helps reduce the heat absorption in extreme heat environments and keeps the cabin cool. The RJ77 was only built for 6 years, and the left hand drive models were mainly sold into the GCC market. The countries setting vehicles standards for the GCC market are the six member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates, so you know this vehicle is ready for adventure in rugged terrain. We enjoy driving this model due to the smooth riding coil springs (in comparison to the leaf springs on the BJ, FJ, FZJ, and HZJ) and a time proven engine.
This 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser RJ77 is a left-hand-drive GCC model which was sold new in Oman. Car Cave recently imported this Land Cruiser from Oman where it was being actively driven. We found a few original registration cards in the vehicle but were unable to make out the details of the first ownership. Oman is located in the Middle East and its dry climate is great for preserving and maintaining classics.

The legendary Toyota 22R 2.4L carburated engine powers this Land Cruiser, and it is and engine easy to service, maintain, and upgrade right here in the USA. That horsepower is backed by a G52 five-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case with 4wd/2wd option. The smooth-running, ultra-reliable Toyota 22R is a 2,366 cc single overhead cam with 2 valves per cylinder. We changed the oil and installed a set of spark plugs as routine maintenance when we received the Land Cruiser. The factory front hubs are automatic and transfer case operated through a floor mounted shifter.
Aftermarket upgrades on this Land Cruiser are minimal, limited to a non-working CD player and rear jerry can holder with jerry can—which is just fine by us. The Land Cruiser is a perfect build platform for the next owner. The interior carpets and upholstery have some imperfections with all seating surfaces being recovered. Although the door cards show well.
Factory power options include power locks, power steering, power locks, power mirrors, power brakes. The power door locks and passenger power window were found to be inoperable. Other factory options include 60/40 split bench front seat, rear barn doors, rear wiper, digital clock, and rear defrost. The original factory Toyota altimeter and inclinometer are still present yet look pretty rough. The vehicle is currently fitted with new 255/70R15 Journey Brave Track tires on factory 15” 6-spoke chrome wheels. The air conditioning was fully functional during our test drive.
