There's a 3.9-liter Magnum V6 now residing beneath the hood, and it's running nicely, fed by electronic fuel injection and pairing with a 5-speed manual transmission to make up a drivetrain that provides a good driving experience, even at freeway speeds. This singular-classic pickup is built on a 1980s Dodge Dakota 4x4 platform, and while the adaptation work could use a closer inspection, and possibly even a bit of additional work, the upgrade pays real-life dividends in the form of a more refined ride, fully functional 4-wheel drive, power steering and power brakes that position discs up front.
