2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 Pickup If you fire a 12 gauge shotgun packed with 00 buck, you'll get a sense of what it's like to pull the trigger on a Ram SRT-10: a loud roar, followed by a cloud of smoke, and, suddenly, heavy metal flying through space. The only difference is that this truck's Viper sourced V10 firepower, good for a 5.2 second 0 to 60 run, surges smoothly at your back and not abruptly against your shoulder. MotorTrend, March 2020 For consignment, a 2004 Dodge Ram SRT-10 pickup with a title verified 46,592 actual miles. A major player in the sport truck category, the SRT-10 has already been awarded legendary status and resides in the same vein of the GMC Syclone and Ford F150 SVT Lightning and not only one of the fastest pickup trucks ever produced, but one of more collectibility. Exterior The SRT-10 takes the Ram's freight train like grille and adds even more real estate to it with a chin spoiler under a low intake and a massive intake duct on the front of the hood, the tail end of which creates an extended power bulge. The super truck takes the normal tire to wheel ratio of a Ram and switches it, filling 22-inch Viper inspired wheels with 305/40R22 tires and the entire body is dropped. Over the tailgate is a wing, theoretically for downforce but practically for awesome good looks. This truck is solid Black, so the coveted SRT-10 emblems pop visually and the twin exhaust tips shine with a matching mirror finish. One multi parted scratch and curb rash are the only imperfections we find on this beast. The open bed is clean. Interior Black molded plastic is designed in a complex series of curves and shapes and storage bins on inner doors along with a brushed aluminum trim piece and carpeted insert. The tall buckets have suede inserts between black leather bolsters and the center armrest doubles as a jumper seat as needed. Other than some slight wear on the driver's seat, they're all in great condition. A fat steering wheel fronts an instrument cluster with racy white faced gauges and an oil temp gauge is posted on the A-pillar. The center stack contains an AM/FM/CD player and A/C panel along with another storage cubby while the floor houses the tall Hurst shifter for this six speed manual. Clean black carpet on the floor and an unmarred soft, gray headliner above, and this rocket is ready for its pilot. Drivetrain Here's the magic, 8.3 liter V10 with sequential fuel injection, Viper branded red valve covers, and a horsepower rating of an even 500. A Tremec T56 6-speed manual backs this venomous engine up, sending all the power to the Dana 80 axle in back with 4.11 gears.  Undercarriage Some surface rust on the exhaust components, leaf springs, and some other untreated metals join the general patina in testament to a truck that's been driven. It's otherwise clean with some residual oil on the pan and crossmember. Meanwhile, dual exhaust enters a single original muffler, then runs in tandem to the back where chrome tips, side by side, exit out the right rear. Naturally, power disc brakes are on all four wheels and suspension consists of coil springs up front and leaf springs in the back. Drive-Ability Even though it's dropped a bit, it's still a step up into the Ram where you plant your can in some of the most supportive truck seats you're ever going to find, and one that gives you a bird's eye view of the road over the long, muscular hood. She starts right up with a mighty bellow and we shift the long fun stick into first and slither onto the test loop. We go from a roll so as not to spin the tires and the truck has enormous power, flat straight tracking, and much better handling than your Dodge Ram 3500. Not overwrought with computers and gadgets, this simple muscle truck's functions all work as intended and just like that, it's time to get back to our desks. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functi
