The Niro EV has a maximum driving range of 253 miles on a full charge, which is below average for an EV but similar to what other electric SUVs offer. Kia offers an optional battery warmer and heat pump to mitigate the loss of battery capacity and range in cold temperatures. This Kia comes with an 11-kW onboard charger. Using Level 2 charging, you can get a full charge in less than seven hours. You can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in about 45 minutes with DC fast charging (Level 3). According to Kia, it takes more than two full days to charge the Niro EV using a 120-volt household-style power outlet, which is why they don't recommend this method.
With its odometer now hovering around the 4,604 mark, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the factory BUMPER-TO-BUMPER warranty until June 2029 or 60,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!
