1970 Chevrolet K-10 CST/10 Long Bed Pickup The 1967-72 Chevrolet C/K is one of the most popular, reliable, and easiest to drive classic pickups you can find. This particular generation marks the turning point when Chevrolet realized it could offer truck buyers modern conveniences and comfort options in the same way it did sedan shoppers. A stunningly simple connection to make in retrospect, but one that blew the market wide open during a time when primary rival Ford steadfastly refused to build anything other than the most utilitarian models for work use. Hagerty, Sept. 2018 For consignment, a 1970 Chevrolet K-10 CST/10 long bed pickup with a title verified 112,789 actual miles. That's quite the mouthful, so let's break it down. CST stands for Custom Sport Truck, 10 is the series, and the K means it's four wheel drive. This truck has a laundry list of new parts to include the sheet metal, bed, and paint inside and out! Exterior Pick up a 1970 Chevrolet truck brochure and right there on the cover is a truck in this exact color spec, Hugger Orange sandwiched by white with a black band of molding down the side. The truck in the brochure is shown on the beach with some healthy young surfers loading up the bed and smiles abound. Our truck also has spear trim down the shoulder line and now wears 15-inch Aluminum Slot wheels, standard side mirrors and exhaust that exits ahead of the rear wheels. It is high, striking, and slightly dressed up with a woodgrain panel on the tailgate as base for the brand name. The bed itself is a sea of two stage orange and looks flawless. Imperfections are limited to an area of bubbling and some minor curb rash and nicks on the wheels. Interior Sheridan scroll and woodgrain inserts adorn the plastic door black door panels on body colored inner doors and both look perfect. The Sheridan dresses up the black vinyl bench as well along with stitch patterned sections behind the classic steering wheel in black textured plastic. The plastic bezel for the gauges looks original and the simple instrument cluster makes operation easy while the A/C panel and AM/FM/Cassette radio in the center make it enjoyable. Rubber mats cover the floor from which the range selector rises on the transmission tunnel, and the new headliner above in black vinyl with polished trim is outstanding. Drivetrain Chrome bits add to the aesthetic appeal of the engine, here a crate 350ci V8 with an Edelbrock 4-barrel over a Holley Contender intake manifold. It's backed by a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission sending power to the 12 bolt rear axle with Positraction and a Dana 44 up front.  Undercarriage All clean underneath with some typical surface rust and patina to the axle and other heavy metal parts. Power drum brakes are employed at all four wheels and leaf springs are found front and rear. The dual exhaust runs through stock style mufflers before turning east and west and exiting in front of the rear wheels through chrome tips. Drive-Ability This freshened '70 serves as our time machine and we bring the newer 350 to life which lets us know it's alive with a pleasing exhaust note which can be heard just beyond the door jamb. The crate motor also provides good power for the 4x4 which tracks straight and allows for good visibility but do note the brakes are spongy. As far as functionality, the A/C, horn and radio are not working but all other items on board work as they should and we roll this orange beauty back to the mall. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of your purchase. Trucks of this era represent some of the hottest collectibles in the market and this nicely sorted and clean K10 is eye-catching in Hugger Orange and White, straight lines, a bold stance, and a nice 350 under the hood. We'll keep it short from here so you can make that call to the mall.  Here's the
