From 1983 through 1996 Chevrolet Manufactured the 4th Generation of the Corvette or the “C4”. Finally after the 1970’s and early C4 production you would see Performance numbers start to improve again even garnering attention around the world in the early 1990’s with a 375 HP ZR1 that would go on to set new records for the highest average speed over a 24 hour period, averaging 173 MPH for over 5,000 miles. The 1996 Corvette LT4 engine produced 330 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque. This was an upgrade from the standard LT1 engine, offering an additional 30 horsepower, and was only available with a 6-speed manual transmission and is said to have downrated by GM execs to leave room for the LS-1 debuting the next model year. The C4 had a completely new chassis, modern sleeker styling and many other improvements it became a instant success. This particular absolute stunner is finished in desirable Torch Red exterior over black leather interior. It has covered just over 7,000 miles from brand new and is in like new condition. The removable glass top has never been taken off and every rubber molding is in incredible shape. The paint is fantastic as is everything else. Everything is in working order with ZERO needs. This is a collector grade Corvette that has had excellent ownership, care and storage. This car does not appear to have ever seen a rain drop. The only thing not factory are the tires. This is a unmolested example that comes with original window sticker, owners manuals, all keys/fobs and other factory goodies. This car also comes with a car cover. It starts, runs and goes down the road like a new car and still has a new car smell. If you are looking for a collector grade final year C4 then this might be the one for you.
