The 2024 Q8 e-tron received mostly good ratings from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2024 Q8 e-tron the highest rating of Good in the five crash tests conducted and named the Audi a TOP SAFETY PICK+, the IIHS' highest honor.
The IIHS uses a different scale for grading collision avoidance features. The Q8 e-tron earned the highest rating of Superior for its standard vehicle-to-vehicle front crash prevention system.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2024 Q8 e-tron an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, with five stars in the side crash and rollover tests and four stars in the frontal crash test.
The Q8 e-tron can go up to 285 miles on a full charge.
According to Audi, it should take about 10 hours to fully charge the Q8 e-tron with a 240-volt household-style power outlet or at a Level 2 public charging station. Plug into a Level 3 charger, such as those offered by Volkswagen's Electrify America partnership, and you can reach an 80% charge in about 30 minutes.
With its odometer now hovering around 10,286, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty until September 2027 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!
