Gateway Classic Cars Milwaukee is excited to present this gorgeous 1940 Ford Deluxe. A new modernized look took place in 1939-40 Ford. The headlights were moved farther apart (converted to seal beam head lights for the fist time in 1940). The side grilles were removed for chrome strips on the deluxe models, and the first "alligator" hood that opened from the top replacing past side panels. Hydraulic brakes were installed for the first time on the new Ford Deluxe. This 1940 Ford Deluxe is painted in gorgeous Black cherry paint with period tan cloth interior. The interior consists of a bench front seat and rear jump seats. The chrome on this beauty just sparkles in the sunshine. Extra wide whitewall tires chrome wheel covers are a great showstopper. The engine is a 239 cubic inch V-8 transplanted from a 1952 Ford attached to a 3-speed column shift manual transmission. Disk brakes have been installed for better stopping ability. The rear end gears have been changed to accommodate highway driving. Making this 1940 Ford Deluxe a fun car to drive. Do not miss out on this beautiful survivor. Great car for a Sunday drive or the occasional car show.
