The 2024 Toyota bZ4X has received a notable award from the UK's TopGear magazine, which named it a winner in its 2024 Awards. The specific award was not detailed, but the announcement highlighted the electric SUV's ''Sleek. Silent. Seriously smart'' qualities.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2024 Toyota bZ4X an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, with five stars in the frontal and side crash tests and four stars in the rollover test.
The bZ4X's charge port is located on the driver's side front fender. Toyota provides a year of (subscription required) for charging at EVgo locations, and the bZ4X is also compatible with DC fast charging stations. Home charging using a 240-volt outlet is the most convenient method, and it takes around nine hours for a full charge. A Level 2 public charging station offers a similar charge time. for the quickest charge, a public DC fast charging station is the best solution. Level 3 50-kW chargers will deliver up to an 80% charge in about an hour, while 150-kW DC fast chargers do it in just 20 to 30 minutes. Using a 120-volt household-style power outlet (Level 1 charging) adds approximately 8 miles of driving range per hour and is not recommended.
With its odometer now hovering around the 3,165 mark, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the factory BUMPER-TO-BUMPER warranty until May 2027 or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first)! Additionally, its engine, transmission and drive axles will be covered by the remainder of the POWERTRAIN warranty until 2029 or 60,000 miles!
