The 1965 Ford Ranchero was a compact, car-based pickup from the second generation of the model line, sharing most of its mechanical underpinnings and styling with the Ford Falcon. It featured squarer, more aggressive styling compared to earlier models and was the final year the Ranchero was based on the Falcon platform before moving to a larger Fairlane chassis in 1966.
Rarity: Approximately 19,700 units were made for 1965, making it a relatively rare classic today. Certain features, like factory-installed bucket seats and a center console (part of the Deluxe trim), were even rarer, found in just 990 units.
Collectibility: The 1965 Ranchero remains a cherished classic and is reasonably collectible, often a favorite among enthusiasts for its unique blend of car agility and truck practicality. Many parts are interchangeable with the Mustang and Falcon, making restoration and modification relatively straightforward.
