The SCJ Mach 1 is refinished in its original scheme of Black Jade over a sunning reupholstered black interior. The Numbers Matching 428ci Super Cobra Jet Ram-Air V8 was completely rebuilt and documented along with the Numbers Matching C6 automatic transmission and correct 4.30 Traction-Lok differential better know as the ''Drag Pack''. As I'm sure you could imagine, you don't see to many SCJ Drag Pack Cars with their original drivetrains, and here's the exception! This SCJ has been professionally upfitted (July 2025) with Holley's Sniper Fuel Injection complete system with every item being installed so as if it was never there. ( original carb/tank with car) Additionally, all new power steering and power disc brake components were upfitted to the vehicle! This upfit with all stock parts and receipts are with the vehicle.
This mustang went through a meticulous rotisserie restoration in 2018-2020, and was completed by a previous MCA judge for 69/70 Concourse Mustangs, which means this one was in the hands of one of the best. It was completed for the street driven class standards and would certainly receive a gold in that class. The restoration photos show this is a completely original steel body and its straight! The undercarriage is finished in Black Jade and red oxide primer. Meticulous care was taken to ensure all of the correct NOS and original components were inspected, refurbished and re used!
High dollar items like date correct Carter X fuel pump, Holley List #4280, 1UA Crank, CJ Intake Manifold, SCJ Exhaust Manifolds, CJ Heads, Oil Cooler; are all in place and correct.
The steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and a fuel-level gauge. The five-digit odometer shows 87,517 miles and approximately 700 of which were added under previous ownership. This Mach 1 is equipped with power steering, power brakes, a shaker hood, dual exhaust 14'' Mag 500 styled wheels wrapped in F70-14 Goodyear Polyglas tires, an AM/FM radio, Clock and a heater!
