This rare L88 Roadster was ordered new by an American serviceman stationed in South Korea. He collected the well specified machine upon his return to the United States in February of 1969. It was subsequently owned by noted collectors Dr. Paul Noble and other noted collectors where it joined a collection of highly original examples. It has a recorded authentic mileage of less than 20,000 miles and has never been restored. On Saturday, Was sold at Gooding & Co. in their annual Scottsdale in 2012 for a record $825,000 sale.
