Just arrived is this all-new, all-different, all-electric, all-encompassing, FACTORY FRESH, NO-ACCIDENT, ONE-OWNER, NONSMOKER 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+!
The first model from the all-electric Mercedes-EQ sub-brand, this large luxury sedan boasts very long real-world range for an EV, loads of standard features and in-car technology, AND a comfortable, well-appointed interior!
The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS sedan won several awards, including the 2022 World Luxury Car award from the World Car Awards, Robb Report's Best Electric Car, Autotrader's Best New Car for 2022, Newsweek Auto Awards' Best Luxury Car of 2022, and J.D. Power's Best Large Premium Car of 2022. The vehicle was also highly ranked by publications like U.S. News & World Report.
What are the benefits of a direct drive transmission?
No gears/belts, therefore less noise, no soil in the system, less friction, less wear and maintenance. Fewer parts, which means less procurement/assembly effort. No play, therefore highly dynamic acceleration with a high level of positional precision!
How do you charge the EQS?
You can charge the Mercedes EQS at home using a 240-volt electrical adapter or at public charging stations, many of which have Level 2 and DC Fast Charging capabilities.
The EQS' charging cable is a J1772 specification, so it's compatible with any charging port of the same measurement. Mercedes offers an adapter to let you charge the car from a standard household outlet, but it's not recommended for regular use since it charges very slowly.
Where can you charge the EQS?
There are currently more than 43,000 public charging stations and about 120,000 charging ports in the U.S. Through a partnership with Electrify America - a public charging initiative of Volkswagen
How long does it take to charge the EQS?
According to Mercedes, charging the EQS with a 240-volt connection takes a little more than 11 hours, and that's to recoup a full charge from 10% capacity (it's recommended to never let an EV battery drain completely).
With DC Fast Charging, you can go from a 10% charge to 80% in 31 minutes, per Mercedes estimates. Level 3 Charging is capable of replenishing 186 miles of range in 15 minutes.
With its odometer now hovering around the 20,987 mark, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty until June 2026 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!
How are the range and efficiency?
The EQS 450+ Edmunds tested was equipped with the standard larger wheels, giving it an EPA-estimated range of 350 miles and a consumption rate of 35 kWh's worth of electricity for every 100 miles of driving.
