From 1997 through 2004, Chevrolet was on its fifth generation of the beloved Corvette. The C5 would first Corvette since 1962 to offer a trunk, the engine was an all new LS that would eventually produce 350 HP by 2001 and would have an improved structural platform with an integrated Transmission and rear mounted transaxle that would enable a 50%-50% front-rear weight distribution. This new platform and rigidity would reduce squeaks and rattles that plagued the C4. This particular Corvette has been driven and used but not abused. It starts right up, idles perfectly, shifts and brakes as it should and goes down the road very nicely. There are no “Dummy” light s on the dash, all the gauges and lights work as they should, It has a nice set of tires and to our knowledge needs nothing to be enjoyed today. These cars are a huge value in terms of what you get for the money. This is an excellent driver quality car that deserves a second look if you are in the market.
