Chevrolet calls the five-seating Bolt EUV (electric utility vehicle) a crossover SUV. It uses an electric motor producing 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque, gets its energy from a 65-kWh lithium-ion battery located under the floor of the vehicle, and comes only with front-wheel drive.

The Bolt EUV has an estimated driving range of 250 miles on a full charge, according to General Motors.

How Long Does It Take to Charge the Bolt EUV?

The Bolt's charging time depends on the method used. Plugging in with a 120-volt household-style outlet will recoup about 4 miles of range per hour. This is referred to as a Level 1 charge, and it's not a practical method for most drivers. Instead, it's better to use a 240-volt outlet or a Level 2 public charging station. These methods can fully charge the battery in around seven hours. The Bolt's quickest rate of charge is achieved using a public DC Fast Charging station. These Level 3 chargers can recoup 95 miles of driving range in as little as 30 minutes.
