The i4's charge time depends on what type of charging option you use, and keep in mind it has a standard 11-kW onboard charger. A 120-volt household-style power outlet will add about 4 miles of range per hour, which would really only be for emergencies. A better option is a 240-volt outlet or Level 2 charging station, which can add around 30 miles of range per hour and can fully charge the battery overnight (eight to 10 hours).
You can also use a Level 3 DC fast charging station, which is the quickest way to charge your i4's battery. Depending on charge output and other factors, a DC fast charging station can add up to 90 miles of range in about 10 minutes and can fully charge the battery in as little as 30 minutes.
With its odometer now hovering around 19,751, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the Basic New Vehicle Limited Warranty until August 2027 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!
