1966 Pontiac GTO

Universal Muscle Cars is proud to offer! 1966 PONTIAC GTO CONVERTIBLE We just got in on trade this very nice 1966 GTO Convertible that runs and drives very well and has a pretty damn good look from 5 feet away but... she is in need of body and paint restoration and we just don't have the time right now to devote to it as our restoration shop is too backed up and we hate to see it just sit until god knows when so we figured we'd offer it up for sale "AS-IS" that maybe somebody will see what we do and want to make this  GTO into something really special! Its all there and would be an easy and relatively cheap restoration so... CHECK IT OUT!! The body is pretty solid with a few paint bubbles down low along the quarters and doors and it does have a few dings here and there but everything lines up pretty nice and the paint still has a good shine. Like i said, looks pretty damn good from 5 feet away but... she is in need of freshening up. The convertible top is also in need of replacing and the power top does not work (no power to motor) but... it is all there and it has a nice convertible top boot too! The chrome, trim and glass are all in good condition but she does need new weather stripping. All in all, she ain't too bad!! An easy cosmetic resto! The white bucket seat interior is actually in pretty nice condition including the seats, dash and door panels and carpets. Not new but nice! Power comes from a strong running and healthy sounding 400c.i. 4bbl. "YS" engine that has Ram Air exhaust manifolds and an HEI ignition. It is backed up by a good shifting 4 speed transmission and a 10 bolt posi rear. Other features include power steering, power disc brakes (front only) dual exhaust, 15" "Weld Prostar" wheels and old school ladder bars.  This real "242" GTO Convertible is pretty nice "AS-IS"  You can restore as you go or... you can jump right in and start the restoration process now and have a $60,000.00 plus car come spring but either way you can't go wrong!! DON'T MISS IT!!
