At Edmunds' test track, the S60 Recharge sprinted from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. It doesn't feel like it will run out of steam at any point up to and past highway speeds. The strong electric motor also means that when you're driving it in EV mode (which Volvo calls ''Pure''), you don't have to baby the throttle at all. It feels quick and light on just electricity, with enough power to even merge onto the freeway without too much effort.

The plug-in 2023 S60 Recharge returns an EPA-estimated 74 MPG-equivalent in combined city/highway driving when using gas and electric power and 31 mpg combined when using gas power. This S60 has an all-electric range of 40 miles.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2023 Volvo S60 Recharge the highest rating of Good in all six crash tests and for how well its headlights illuminate the road!

It can be charged at 110V in eight hours or 220V in five hours.

With its odometer now hovering around 9,251, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the factory Limited Warranty for new vehicles until December 2027 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!

The Recharge T8 combines the B5 engine with a plug-in hybrid system for more power (455 hp, 523 lb-ft), greater fuel efficiency, and up to 40 miles of all-electric range. It only comes with all-wheel drive.
