The 34-hp, 0.6-liter two-cylinder engine spins to life only when the lithium-ion battery runs very low. This small 647-cc inline-two-cylinder gasoline engine maintains the battery pack’s charge, should it fall below a specific threshold. Charging the car with a 240-volt outlet takes up to 4 hours.
