For sale is a rare 1980 Porsche 911 SC Weissach Edition Coupe, one of approximately 400 examples produced. This car was purchased from its second owner, who owned it since 1995 and drove it regularly for over 30 years. With retirement and less use, he decided it was time to pass it on.
The Weissach Edition was a special factory appearance and performance-focused package, named after Porsche’s Weissach development center. It featured unique factory options that made the SC more aggressive and collectible, while also reducing weight compared to standard models.
This example retains its correct Weissach equipment, including:
Front chin spoiler
Whale-tail rear spoiler
Platinum Metallic–finished Fuchs alloy wheels
Doric Grey leather interior with red accents
Factory sport seats
The interior is in excellent condition, showing very well throughout. The exterior is in great condition with deep, glossy paint. It sits on 15-inch staggered Fuchs wheels, with deep-dish rears.
Power comes from its original 3.0L flat-six, paired with the desirable 915 manual transmission. Mechanically, the car runs and drives very well. The ride is smooth yet sporty, the engine sounds healthy and pulls strong, and the transmission shifts cleanly through all gears.
Service history includes long-term care at Acres in Seattle. Recent work includes:
New clutch
New heater fan
Recent brake work
To the best of my knowledge, the engine has not been rebuilt, but has been very well maintained. There are no notable oil leaks, no rust, and no accident history. Clean title.
