LaFontaine Classic Cars is excited to provide this 1970 Chevelle SS! The body was refinished in Cortez silver with a black stripe hood and decklid stripes. Features include a cowl induction hood, chrome bumpers, wheel molding trim, quad headlamps, a black grille and tail panel, SS 454 badging, and a dual-outlet exhaust that exits below the rear bumper. The body was separated from the frame, the frame was completely coated, all body mount bushings were replaced at this time, a a full paint correction service was completed and a full ceramic coating was applied in 2025.
The New Blue Print 540ci V8 crate engine was was fitted with a Holley carburetor, Edelbrock Victor Jr aluminum intake manifold, HEI distributor, upgraded Holley black serpentine accessory drive kit w/ AC, and Billet Specialties Chevrolet valve covers. Coated full-length headman headers feed into a dual exhaust system with an H-pipe! Additional equipment includes a Aeromotive fuel pump and regulator and to top things off a Griffin aluminum radiator with dual electric fans was installed for the cool operation on the hottest of days.
A Silver Sport Tremec five-speed manual transmission package was equipped with a McLeod RST clutch to handle the power of this big block. The rear end was fitted with complete Moser 12 bolt rear end and axles with a Eaton Posi 3.42:1 gear, perfect for back road fun and streetable freeway cruising rpms.
The 15 Cragar S/S wheels are mounted with 235/60 front and 275/60 rear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T white-letter tires. Handling is provided by Hotchkis Sport Suspension tubular front upper and lower control arms, Ridetech HQ springs and shocks, Ridetech Sway bars Front and Rear, Ridetech steering linkage kit, AGR Performance Steering box, UMI Performance Rear Shock Tower Brace; all of which keep this Chevelles ride planted on the road with a smooth power delivery!
The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a 5 speed center console, a Hurst shifter, Vintage Air climate control, retractable lap belts, upgraded speakers, and a RetroSound digital stereo with amp and Subwoofer to complete the package.
This Chevelle SS is now offered with a GM of Canada build datasheet, Protec O Plate, manufacturers literature, service receipts for the entire build, and a transferrable 30 month - 50,000 Mile Blue Print engine warranty ( June 2028 ), a clean title!
