2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon

This long-wheelbase truck is finished in Patriot Blue (PBT) with contrasting pinstripes and Rubicon decals. Additional exterior details include a swing-out tailgate, fog lights, dual mirrors, full metal doors, a removable hardtop with a rear wiper, and diamond-plate sill protectors. The rear window support strut and the bumpers were replaced in preparation for the sale. Chips in the finish are visible on the front fascia. Silver-finished 16″ Moab cast-aluminum wheels are wrapped in 245/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires, and a blemished spare wheel wearing a Goodyear Wrangler MT/R tire is affixed to a swing-out rear carrier. The truck came factory equipped with a Quadra-Coil multi-link suspension with live solid axles, and braking is from four-wheel discs. The high-back front bucket seats and the folding rear bench seat are trimmed in Dark Slate Gray cloth with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, a roll bar, a mini-floor console with a cup holder, and a locking glovebox along with a Kenwood CD stereo. The steering wheel frames a 100-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 29k miles. The 4.0-liter Power Tech inline-six produced 190 horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque when new. The air filter was cleaned in preparation for the sale, and compression test results are shown in the gallery below. Power is routed to the rear or all four wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, a dual-range Rock-Trac transfer case, and Tru-Lok front and rear remote locking differentials. Rubicon models received skid plates in addition to front and rear Dana 44 axles with 4.11:1 axle ratios.
