This well-preserved 1982 Corvette was purchased new by its current owner in 1982, and it has been carefully driven and maintained during his long ownership. Finished in an attractive and rare color scheme of Spectra Red (factory paint code 70), this Corvette is loaded with luxury amenities that make the final 1982 cars the most comfortable of all the C3 series cars produced. The new Cross-Fire fuel injection introduced on this car has fuel injectors making up to 80 adjustments per second to enhance drivability and fuel economy. This was the first fuel injected Corvette in 20 years, it also raised horsepower by 10. A solenoid operates a small flap in the hood allowing fresh air into the engine during full-throttle acceleration. A new for 1982 4-speed automatic transmission also added to the Corvettes drivability, making this the first year fuel injection and a 4-speed automatic transmission were available on a Corvette at the same time.
