2009 Ford Shelby GT500

?King of the Road examples left the Ford assembly line as standard GT500s and were upgraded by the Shelby Automobiles facility in Las Vegas, Nevada. The body of this GT500KR is finished in Torch Red Clearcoat with silver stripes and Shelby badging. Exterior equipment includes a rear decklid spoiler, HID headlamps, fog lamps, and dual exhaust outlets as well as a carbon-fiber front splitter, functional hood intakes, and mirror caps.Shelby-branded 18 Alcoa forged aluminum wheels wear staggered-width Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The car is equipped with Brembo front brake calipers, and the Shelby GT500KR package added SVT-tuned suspension components including enhanced springs, struts, shocks, and sway bars as well as a strut tower brace. An uninstalled front brake duct cooling kit was also part of the Shelby GT500KR package and is included in the sale and pictured in the gallery below.The bolstered seats are upholstered in black leather with perforated inserts and Cobra logos embossed on the seatbacks as well as GT500KR script and Carroll Shelby s signature embroidered on the headrests. Amenities include the GT500 premium trim package, a Shaker 1000 audio system, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, and a short-throw shifter.The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames SVT instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges.
