What a looker! This 1970 Chevelle SS looks amazing in a factory color Tuxedo Black. It sports White accent SS stripes running down the Cowl Induction hood and trunk lid. It also features a functional Cowl Induction hood with factory hood pins. It certainly stands out from all of the others. When I look down the sides it is straight. The paint is smooth and very glossy. Up front- the headlight bezels, grill and bumper look amazing. All the stainless trim is polished like chrome. It has newer weather stripping and door seals. It sits on a set of 14X7 SS Rally wheels with a new set of 245/60/14 BFG Goodrich T/A radial tires.
The engine compartment is nicely detailed and original looking. It has a period correct 454 ci/ 360 hp motor, casting #3963512. lt has rectangular port heads, Aluminum intake manifold with dual feed Holley carburetor and correct fuel line, upgraded HEI ignition, correct factory chrome valve covers and Cowl Induction air cleaner and correct spring type battery cables. Other features include: power steering, front power disc brakes, Delco Moraine cadmium plated power brake booster, new master cylinder with correct portioning valve, factory exhaust manifold and a 4-core radiator with the correct fan shroud and fan. The engine compartment is finished in satin black. It is very clean and tidy!
The factory black bench seat interior is nice. The front and back seats have new upholstery, newer door panels and headliner and package tray. There is a factory Muncie shifter on the floor with the correct two piece black shifter knob, correct shift boot and bezel in front of the bench seat. It has newer carpet and sill plates. Looking at the dash, it is in nice condition. The dash pad is nice and the heater controls slide with ease. It also features factory tach and gauges, a clock (that works!), retro AM/FM radio and a factory Sure Grip SS steering wheel. All the courtesy lights work as well.
The undercarriage is very clean metal. The front suspension and steering have been rebuilt and detailed. The bottom of the motor is spotless and so is the Muncie 4 speed manual transmission. Some features include: power steering, front power disc brakes, new gas tank & straps, new sending unit, 12-bolt rear with 3:31 Posi , F41 suspension and rear boxed in control arms with sway bar. It also has a new 2.5” dual exhaust system that runs all the way out the back with the correct cowbell exhaust tips. The E-brake assembly is complete and working. The underside of this Chevelle is very impressive, same as the top side!
The trunk is finished with a light coat of spatter paint. It comes complete with a spare tire, jack assembly, lug wrench and newer weather stripping.
