Seller's Notes

When it comes to collectible cars, the criteria by which we judge a vehicle can vary from person to person. However, almost all enthusiasts can agree that authenticity counts for a great deal. That's why, when a car like this 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge comes along with its official Pontiac Historic Services documentation, the verdict is a unanimous mix of awe and excitement. Fully repainted in its fantastically fun factory Polar White, along with its eye-catching Judge-decal highlights, the muscular lines of this powerful Pontiac present a compelling case for why this GTO may just be the G.O.A.T. of Goats. Inside, we find a factory-correct Blue vinyl interior, complemented by a touch of woodgrain trim along the dash. A three-pod Rally gauge cluster sits front and center of the power-assisted (and rare) wooden three-spoke steering wheel, featuring (from left to right) a multi-purpose fuel/oil/temperature readout, a big 140 mph speedometer, and a unique and equally large analog clock closest to the passenger side. If you're unfamiliar with the GTO, you might be searching for the tach, but fear not, you need only look just above the dashboard and out the windshield to find an ingenious hood-mounted 8,000 rpm external tachometer, which not only looks unbelievably cool but makes it that much easier to keep your eyes on the fast-approaching road while still being able to hit that perfect 1-2 shift courtesy of a Hurst T-bar handle. A center console separates a pair of bucket seats, while at the same time, A Jensen AM/FM/Cassette stereo offers an optional soundtrack if, for some reason, you ever get tired of listening to that rumble emanating from the dual exhaust just beneath you. Under that dual nostril, we find a clean engine bay, home to a functional Ram Air system. Beneath that curiously clever air-cleaner power package, we find a period-correct 400 cubic-inch Ram Air III V-8 engine. Topped with a single four-barrel Rochester Quadrajet carburetor, this mighty motor made use of a 10.75:1 compression ratio to pump out an advertised 366 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque when it was first produced. That prodigious power is routed through a tried-and-true four-speed manual transmission before being sent out to the 3.55-geared ten-bolt Posi rear end. Those ponies are transferred to the pavement via a set of polished (and gorgeous) 15-inch PMD Rally wheels. HIGHLIGHTS: * PHS Certified Judge * Factory Correct Polar White Repaint * Judge Decals * Period Correct Ram Air III 400 CID V8 * Quadrajet Four Barrel * Four Speed Manual * 3.55 Posi Rear End * Power Front Disc Brakes * Power Steering * Factory Correct Blue Vinyl * Center Console with Hurst Shifter * Correct Factory Dash * Correct Factory Gauges * Hood Tach * Wood Rimmed Steering Wheel on Tilt Column * Jensen AM/FM/Cassette Riding on a factory-style heavy-duty suspension upgraded with higher-rate springs and stiffer shocks, this 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge was capable of cornering markedly better than the base model, while a set of power brakes featuring front discs reins in speed at a moment's notice. While deliberating on which Golden Age muscle car is the best will likely end in a hung jury, there is no debate that this PHS-certified, and remarkably restored Judge will go a long way to endow its next owner with life, liberty, and especially the pursuit of happiness with fervor and ferocity. Don't wait, because cars like this don't last long. Call today!
