This trim adds ventilated and massaging front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, hand-gesture recognition, a 30-speaker sound system, a Wi-Fi hotspot, an interior camera, a head-up display, a surround-view parking camera system, adaptive headlights, an adaptive air suspension, four-wheel steering, big wheels, and larger M Sport brakes.

At Edmunds' test track, the iX M60 accelerated from 0 to 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. That's just as quick as the last BMW X5 M they tested, and it's even more impressive considering the M60 weighs nearly 6,000 pounds. All that mass is going to need some good brakes, and the M60 has them. Their test M60 came to a stop from 60 mph in a respectably short 115 feet.

The M60's M-tuned suspension takes things up a notch from the xDrive50. It feels a bit sharper and more willing to skirt around corners. Straight-line speed, thanks to the additional power, is certainly the M60's biggest differentiator. Otherwise, the M60 is just as easy to drive every day as the standard xDrive50. There's plenty of smooth regenerative braking for those who like the one-pedal driving experience.

The M60 has 610 horsepower and yields a 288-mile range with the standard wheels. With the optional larger ones it'll be only nominally less.
