The IIHS uses a different scale for grading collision avoidance features. The QX60 received the highest rating of Superior for its standard front crash prevention systems.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has not fully crash tested the 2023 QX60. However, all-wheel-drive models received an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, with four stars in the frontal crash test and five stars in the side crash test. QX60 models with front-wheel drive did not receive an overall safety rating, though NHTSA also gave this INFINITI four stars in the frontal crash test and five stars in the side crash test. NHTSA has not tested either model for rollover safety.

The QX60 is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 (295 horsepower, 270 lb-ft of torque) connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission.
