The exterior has been repainted in two tones, the original wheels (all numbered VW), the tires have been replaced, and new oval hubcaps and chromed metal wheel covers have been installed. The windshield was replaced with a gradient tint (due to wiper marks on the original) and new chrome bumpers, headlight bezels, and all door handles were installed. The taillights were replaced with new original Arteb smoked lenses, and the side mirrors with original EMPI chrome models. (All original parts are stored.) Inside, the entire upholstery was redone, with all seats, front side panels, passenger compartment, and trunk reupholstered and reupholstered, in addition to a complete headliner. High-quality carpeting was also installed throughout... work performed by a highly qualified professional using original period materials in the standard Beetle colors, Turin Red and Black. Curtains were installed on all passenger compartment windows, and all lock cylinders were replaced. A custom retro sound system with new Polivox speakers was installed… This interior is a spectacle in itself. Regarding the suspension, it was completely overhauled, the shock absorbers were replaced, and an adjustable height suspension was installed (adjustable torsion bar at the rear and ratchet at the front). In 20 minutes, you can adjust the Kombi's height yourself… from original to stylish, right at home. Regarding the steering, the original steering box was overhauled, the tie rod ends were replaced, and a ball-bearing center shaft was installed. The wheel bearings were also replaced, the brakes were adjusted, and new Firestone CV5000 tires were installed. Mechanically, the gearbox was overhauled and necessary bearings were replaced, while the engine was completely overhauled. The entire carburetor system was redone, the block was overhauled, with complete cylinder head replacements, complete cylinders, pistons and rings all new and top-of-the-line (Mahle). The opportunity was also taken to replace: fuel pump, coil, complete ignition system, spark plugs and spark plug wires, air deflectors, all hoses with reinforced injection models (Balflex), and a few other things I don't remember… The car was meticulously rebuilt to be reliable for any drive or trip.A very reliable and economical car.
