How do you charge the EQS?

You can charge the Mercedes EQS at home using a 240-volt electrical adapter or at public charging stations, many of which have Level 2 and DC Fast Charging capabilities.

The EQS' charging cable is a J1772 specification, so it's compatible with any charging port of the same measurement. Mercedes offers an adapter to let you charge the car from a standard household outlet, but it's not recommended for regular use since it charges very slowly.

There are currently more than 43,000 public charging stations and about 120,000 charging ports in the U.S. Through a partnership with Electrify America - a public charging initiative of Volkswagen

How long does it take to charge the EQS?

According to Mercedes, charging the EQS with a 240-volt connection takes a little more than 11 hours, and that's to recoup a full charge from 10% capacity (it's recommended to never let an EV battery drain completely).

With DC Fast Charging, you can go from a 10% charge to 80% in 31 minutes, per Mercedes estimates. Level 3 Charging is capable of replenishing 186 miles of range in 15 minutes.

With its odometer now reading 28,664, it is STILL COVERED under the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty warranties until April 2026 or 50,000 miles (whichever occurs first)!

How are the range and efficiency?

For the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQS 450+, the official EPA range is around 350 miles, but with larger 21-inch wheels, expect a slight reduction; real-world tests show ranges often exceeding this, with some achieving over 400 miles, though 21-inch wheels reduce the WLTP (worldwide) range from 780km to around 711km, impacting figures by a few percent.
