Mercury was moving up market and management deemed performance out of character for their new vison, so the S-55 trim was removed early in the 66 model year. This makes this car particularly rare! Our 2 door hardtop Monterey presents as a mostly original survivor. With no obvious signs of restoration or modification. The White paint has minor flaws, but is very presentable with no rust or major chipping. The roof is wrapped in black vinyl and the car rides on white factory hubcaps with white walled radials. Inside you're greeted to buckets up front with a center console, all wrapped in pearl parchment, white vinyl. Under the hood is a healthy 428ci V8 spinning a three speed automatic trans.
