Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to digitally present this absolutely gorgeous 1956 Buick Century Sport Coupe. GM Chief of Styling and Design, Harley Earl, and the guys over at Buick took things to a whole new level in the mid '50s. Stylist Ned Nickels obsession with the model and making it different than other corporate lines led him to design the famous chrome Buick portholes reminiscent of the WWII era fighter aircrafts. Three portholes meant the car was a six cylinder, four portholes was a V8. This is automotive artwork that makes you proud to be an American. Known for his passion for classic American automobiles, the consignor was once featured on a televised Mecum auction. In addition, the consignor has over ninety thousand dollars invested in this '56 so you are literally getting the car at half price! The 332ci engine runs like a clock and only has a few hundred miles since being rebuilt. When you add power steering, power brakes, and cold a/c you'll literally want to cruise all day. Before consigning, the owner had all fluids changed, a new carb and fuel tank added, the radiator re-cored, electric cooling fan installed, and cool wide whites mounted and balanced and there's much more!
