1962 Chevrolet Corvette

This 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is being sold for its owner on consignment by John Haigler at Haigler Motors, 13190 Hwy 155 South, Tyler, TX 75703 (flat fee, not a percentage). It’s a 3 owner car, with the current owner in possession for the last 29 years. The original owner blew the motor within the first year of ownership (drag racing, what a surprise LOL). The block was replaced either over-the-counter or via warranty with a correct GM block. Most of the remaining items are original numbers matching parts (see below for specifics). Currently, it’s a driver quality car, which has been checked out by our local Corvette guru. Miles are believed to be original, but lack proof to substantiate. Clean Texas title in hand.

*340 HP 327 Cu In Solid Lifter V8 with dual points (carb has been rebuilt)/Correct intake/Not fuel injected car as suggested by fender emblems
*Numbers matching 4 speed transmission (clutch and synchros function well)
*411 posi gearing for the differential
*Original interior (all gauges and lights function except the clock
*Exterior lighting is all functional
*Power windows (they operate, one of 944 with this option)
*Radiator has been replaced (original in the trunk)
*Heater core has been bypassed (leaking)
*Water pump (rebuild kit in trunk if needed)
*Front suspension has been refreshed
*Bumpers rechromed in 1997
*Generator has been replaced but is not correct for the 340 HP engine
*Frame (no rust)
*Tires have been recently replaced (old tires were out-of-date)
*Fuel tank (probably should be eventually replaced, fresh fuel filters have been installed)
*Soft top in good condition/Rear plastic window clear
*Original hubcaps
*Radio is inop
*Paint was probably done late 1980’s with normal patina fade
*Brakes have been recently redone/Parking brake operative
*Fluids have been flushed and replaced
*Windshield and door glass in good condition (no stars or cracks)
