The first generation Highlander is one of our favorite Toyota SUV's. They have proven to be great vehicles - reliable, durable, long lasting and capable of very high mileage. These vehicles are very practical as they are useful, inexpensive to buy and inexpensive to own long term. They are also spacious, comfortable, user friendly and easy to drive. It's no secret that the older Highlanders are great vehicles. They often sell here before being advertised because so many people are looking for a nice one. This example is a one owner vehicle that we purchased after it was donated to charity. It has low mileage for the age and for a Highlander which is evident behind the wheel as it drives terrific. Our service in preparation for sale included an oil change, state inspection, new battery, headlights, valve cover gaskets, front sway bar links, rear brakes, engine air filter, wiper blades, timing belt and water pump. We also had the whole vehicle repainted. While, not seen in the photos, the carpet floor mats and a second set of keys are present. Having been in Maryland, there is some surface rust visible under the hood and some corrosion on the aluminum wheels.
