1983 Ferrari 512 BB

The car is finished in RossoCorsa with contrasting Nero lower bodywork and features pop-up headlights,yellow fog light lenses, NACA side ducts, and a rear high-mount spoiler. Thecabin is trimmed in Nero Stoffa Connolly leather with optional Zegna woolaccents and houses a Nardi steering wheel, Veglia instrumentation, and a gateddogleg shifter as well as a Ferrari-branded Pioneer stereo with a dash-mountedgraphic equalizer. Power is provided by a 4.9-liter F110A flat-12 mated to a five-speed manual transaxle, and further equipment includes a limited-slip differential, a fully independent suspension, and center-lock 415mm five-spoke alloy wheels. An engine-out service was performed at Ferrari of Newport Beach in 2023, and additional work completed this year has involved installing an MSD ignition module and coil, rebuilding the rear brake calipers, resurfacing the flywheel, and replacing the clutch assembly and hydraulic cylinders. This 512 BBi is now offered by the selling dealer with manufacturer?s literature, a tool kit, recent service records, and a clean Arizona title. Styled by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina, the first of the Berlinetta Boxer series debuted at the 1971 Turin Auto Show with the reveal of a prototype 365 GT4 BB. The production car was launched at the 1973 Paris Motor Show and was later succeeded in 1976 by the BB 512, which retained a carbureted F102 flat-12. The final evolution of the BB, the 512 BBi debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1981 with a fuel-injected F110 flat-12. The cars were not officially offered in the US and were imported and federalized in-period via the gray market. The steel-paneled cabin section is complemented by fiberglass lower panels, while aluminum is utilized for the doors along with the front and rear clamshells.
