2002 Ford Thunderbird Deluxe

The Supercharged Thunderbird's revised bodywork was penned by Ford's Living Legends design studio. The front valance features a revised grille and dual air intakes in place of fog lamps. Additional changes include a domed and vented front hood, enlarged front-fender ventilation, a revised rear bumper cover, and dual exhaust finishers on either side of the rear license plate.The concept car is finished in Machine Silver with a black soft top, and it was initially produced with slimmer, color-matching faux mirrors. Functional Thunderbird-sourced assemblies were installed in September 2023, and additional equipment includes a custom-made black convertible-top boot.The 18" multi-spoke wheels wear a unique finish, and they are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. The concept car featured revised suspension components for a 1" reduction in ride height, although the shocks, tie rods, control arms, steering knuckles, and stabilizer bar links were replaced in September 2023.Interior details include unique fluted-metal accents, Machine Silver-painted trim, Supercharged badging, and two-tone leather that extends from the seating surfaces to the dashboard, center console, steering wheel, and door panels. Interior and exterior electronics were non-functional when the car was new, but the electrical system has been rewired, and amenities include automatic climate control, power windows, power-adjustable seats, and an in-dash six-disc CD changer.The black instrument dials are unique to the concept car, and non-functional dashboard lighting and steering-wheel buttons were rewired under current ownership.
