The 240Z spearheaded the line of Z cars that continues to this day when it made its debut in 1969. The coupe offered distinctive-looking fastback styling, a four-wheel independent suspension system, and a straight-6 engine. It built up a loyal fan base on the American market, and it became a force to reckon with on the international rallying scene. The 240Z notably took first and second place in the 1971 East African Safari Rally. Production ended in 1978.
Power comes from a 2.4-liter straight-6, rated at about 151 horsepower and 148 lb-ft of torque. Output is sent to the rear wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission.
