If you dont know what this car is, let us tell you a little bit about it! 1989 was the 20th Anniversary of the Trans Am, and Pontiac wanted to do something special. At the time the GTA was the highest end Trans Am offered. Typically loaded up with all the bells and whistles, handling and aero packages available meant that a GTA was a good looking, comfortable and fun to drive car. At the time Buick had the T-Type Regal, Grand National and GNX Powered by a 3.8L Turbocharged V6 that was already established as a performance powerhouse. The Handling and Aerodynamics of the Buicks led GM to limit them to 124 mph. When Pontiac expressed interest in putting them in Trans Ams they quickly realized that the cars could handle much more top end. So the limiter was left off and the 20th Anniversary Trans Am could top 150 mph! And it could crack the 1/4 mile in 13 seconds, a BIG DEAL in 1989! Deliberately underrated at 250 HP, many dynos show the cars making north of 300 hp! These are FUN and FAST cars for the Era! And RARE with less than 1500 ever being built!! The only options you could add to the car were T-tops and Leather Interior, both of which this car has! You could only order them in White with Saddle tan interior as well! So dont bother shopping for one in any color than this!! And best of luck finding a nicer one, with less miles than this one! Only 7,900 ACTUAL MILES!!!!
