1953 International R110 Rat Rod Truck – Built Loud, Built Wrong (in All the Right Ways)
This isn’t restored. It’s unleashed.
This 1953 International R110 Rat Rod is pure mechanical rebellion—part hot rod, part drag car, part rolling middle finger to stock. From the mailbox ram-air scoop to the drag parachute hanging off the back, this thing exists for one reason: to make noise and cause a scene.
Under the hood sits a Small Block Chevy 350ci breathing through an Edelbrock street tunnel ram topped with dual Holley four-barrels, teapot velocity stacks, and a full mailbox ram-air scoop that looks as ridiculous as it does aggressive. Headers dump the soundtrack, aluminum valve covers flash in the light, and an aluminum radiator with twin fans keeps things cool when the chaos slows down. A front-drive serpentine setup and three-speed automatic keep it street-friendly enough to cruise between burnouts.
The stance is all business thanks to air ride suspension, tubular upper control arms, power steering, and a late-model frame swap (exact donor unknown—because mystery is part of the charm). It squats, it lifts, and it looks angry doing it.
Stopping duties are handled by front disc brakes with rear drums, and just in case things get truly unhinged, yes—it has a drag parachute. Because why not?
Weld Racing wheels anchor the look, wrapped in 215/70-15 fronts and massive Mickey Thompson 33x30 rear tires that scream drag strip dominance. The exterior wears its natural patina proudly, capped off with an aluminum wing and that unmistakable parachute out back—this truck doesn’t whisper, it announces itself.
If you’re looking for subtle, keep scrolling.
If you want a rat rod that looks fast standing still and feels illegal doing anything at all—this International delivers.
