This 1981 Triumph TR7 has been fitted with a carburated, 4.0-liter Rover V8 as well as we believe a TR8 rear differential, power steering, suspension components, accessory tach, and graphics and other TR8 original parts. This car presents as a factory TR8, however the VIN indicates a TR7 with Rover SD1 all aluminum V8. A very convincing clone if indeed it’s a clone. Research indicates some TR7 tagged cars were factory built as TR8s. The safe approach is to say this is a quality TR8 reproduction. The car is finished in factory FAB Yellow over a black interior with yellow accents, and additional equipment includes a five-speed manual transmission, tubular headers, padded Roll bar, TR8 rear battery relocation, dual exhaust system, Panasport wheels, a replacement, upgraded black canvas soft top, New Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir and new Clutch master cylinder in Dec 2025. This V8 TR7 is now offered with clean WA title in the dealer’s name.
