The 1960 Trail-A-Sled Air Sled, VIN 1004, 2 passenger vehicle finished in a striking red and white paint. This sled is powered by a 125 hp Lycoming 0-290-G engine, which is similar to an aircraft engine with Wood Propeller. but is used exclusively for land use in this sled. It has the remarkable capability of reaching speeds of up to 100 mph! The previous owner has added some custom touches, including aluminum skis and a torsion axle that provides some suspension to the sled. Rear Drag Brake. Includes Wheels and Skis! The Trail-A-Sled company was established in 1959 in Crosby/Ironton, Minnesota. Between 1960 and 1963, a total of 35 units were produced, with 25 of them specifically built for Polaris to sell.
