Shortly after finally completing the build and taking it out on the road, he unexpectedly passed away. His widow kept the truck and drove it weekly (5–10 miles) for two years before selling it. The current owner purchased the truck in 2021 and it has continued to be enjoyed as a fun, light-duty cruiser.
