The 1970 Volkswagen Transporter is part of the highly sought-after second-generation Type 2 “Bay Window” series, produced by Volkswagen from 1968 through 1979. Known for its distinctive curved windshield, durable construction, and practical design, the Transporter became one of the most recognizable utility vehicles ever produced. Built with a rear-mounted air-cooled engine and simple mechanical layout, the Transporter was engineered for reliability, easy maintenance, and impressive cargo versatility.

At CCC we look at five major characteristics of the cars to create a classification of each vehicle. The paint, body, interior, mechanical, and electrical are all ranked in order to give customers a more tangible measurement of the condition of one of our cars. Our classic inventory receives a classification that shows our cars having an overall condition score or 3-4 on a 5-point scale of condition.
