Seller's Notes

1967 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible For the last year of the C2, only subtle but distinctive changes were made to the model. Five fender vents replaced the three of 1966 and were smaller. The reverse lights were moved to a bar over the license plate instead of part of the taillight assembly. As with any last of a generation, some enthusiasts feel 1967 is the best because of the refinements made over the first year 1963.  For consignment, a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible showing 89,435 miles, but the true miles are unknown due to a title exemption. This is a well documented car with numbers matching 327ci V8 and a long list of extensive mechanical and functional maintenance and corrections done in 2025.  Exterior If you said this is the most beautiful American car ever designed, you'd have a solid case. The lines molded into the fiberglass simply all work together is a sinuous flow of bulges and curves, and the coverage of two stage Sunfire Yellow paint is fantastic. Raised fenders flow back to a shoulder line that leads to a long, flat decklid. Side pipes and their vented covers provide the sleek sports car with a muscular attitude and the 15-inch turbine style wheels are the perfect fit, here with redline tires. The central power bulge on the hood is iconic, maybe even more than the fender gills that are fitting and spectacular. An accessory hardtop provides a matching C-pillar and curved rear window while the white canvas top provides the ability for a quick change subject to the weather. Imperfections include cracking paint on the hood, some wear on the stitched edge of the soft top, a hole in that top, some checking of the paint on the decklid, touched up chips on the tonneau as well as those in need of touch up, uneven paint on a gill, rock chips, cracking bodywork under the bumper in back, and crazing on a fender.  Interior White plastic door panels appear cleanly on each side and white vinyl bucket seats look fresh, contrasting sharply to the black carpet below. A 3 spoke steering wheel fronts the eyebrow dash which holds a gauge cluster in black plastic and silver rimmed dials arranged in a symmetrical pattern and accompanied by a series of knobs and switches and presenting in very nice shape. The center waterfall stack has a clock, more knobs, and the vertically mounted AM/FM radio while the passenger's eyebrow houses a glove box with a name plate under a padded dash with some cracking. Our shifter and its faceplate are clean as is the stowaway area for the soft top. Of note is some marred paint on the driver's door sill.   Drivetrain We have no problem calling it show quality under the hood where the bay houses a numbers matching 327ci V8, rated at 300 horsepower and fed petroleum products through a 4-barrel carburetor. A non original 2-speed automatic Powerglide transmission routes power to the rear axle and 3.36 gears. The car has working factory air and power steering. Undercarriage Clean conditions prevail underneath with minimal surface rust and oxidation. The dual exhaust goes east and west and runs through chambered side pipe while power disc brakes are found on all four wheels. Suspension consists of coil springs up front and Corvette's system of a frame mounted differential, tubular axle drive shafts, transverse strut rods, torque control arms, and transverse leaf springs in back.  Drive-Ability A mighty roar is emitted from the sides, pleasantly close to the occupant's ears, as we put the car into drive and set off on the test loop where it exhibits good power, straight tracking, and solid braking. We note a clunk in left front suspension when stopping from a low speed and discover a blown out bushing on the lower control arm. Beyond that one thing, everything works as it should on this American classic. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of our test drive, we cannot guarantee these functions will be working at the time of
