The exhaust tips for '56 were moved to the ends of the bumpers, and air vents were added behind the front wheels to improve cabin ventilation. The Continental Kit was a one-year option makes the 1956 model unique. Also, for '56 the electrical system was bumped up to 12 volts. Total production of the 1956 models was 15,631.
