When Lexus launched the SC430, they called it the jewel of the lineup, and they meant it. Early SC430 production, which this car falls into, was done entirely by hand at Lexus with each car taking 71 hours to build. That level of care shows in how these cars hold together over time. The SC430 was initially a polarizing car in some circles, but time has been very kind to it. As the automotive world has moved almost entirely toward SUVs and crossovers, a low, elegant, V8 powered grand tourer convertible with this level of fit and finish has only grown more appealing.
