This Metro RM-122 van has been modified. Powered by a 350ci Chevrolet V8, with a four-barrel carburetor, an electric cooling fan, wrapped exhaust headers, and an Edelbrock-logo air cleaner and valve covers. A three-speed automatic transmission, Chevrolet-sourced rear differential and a Mustang II-style front suspension with rack-and-pinion steering and a replacement wiring harness
The van has a corroded metal finish with faded paint over black vinyl upholstery. Woodgrain flooring, sliding side doors, rear barn doors, led halo headlamps, a Kenwood CD stereo, a Cobra CB radio, steel bumpers, aluminum grille panels and a modified exhaust system, with Flowmaster mufflers.
Staggered-width 20" smoothie-style beige Detroit steel wheels wear polished trim rings and spear-style center caps. 245/50 front and 275-35 rear Advanta HPZ-02 tires show 2024 production date codes.
The interior has been refreshed and houses two front seats and a rear bench upholstered in Black vinyl. Gray carpeting covers the cab floor and engine cover side panels, while the headliner is trimmed in Black and White Houndstooth cloth. It has a removable center console with cupholders and an overhead storage compartment,
The Forever Sharp steering wheel is mounted on an Ididit tilt-adjustable steering column. IH-logo replacement instruments consisting of an 80-mph speedometer, a combination gauge with readouts for fuel level, amperage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. Aftermarket gauges for voltage, fuel level, and coolant temperature are mounted below the right-front vent window. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles, true mileage is unknown. The Raymond Loewy-designed Metro debuted in 1938 and remained in production through several iterations until 1975.
