1967 Chevrolet Camaro Hardtop The 1967 Camaro was introduced at dealerships beginning on September 29, 1966 and were produced at either Norwood, Ohio or Van Nuys, California. 220,906 Camaros were produced for the 1967 model with just 11% of them being convertibles, or 25,141. More than 34,000 cars received the Super Sport package, and all told, there were six engine options with eight configurations. For consignment, a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro hardtop with unknown miles, but a long list of show participation and awards. This is a spectacular resto modded pro touring Camaro named Evolution and it certainly has evolved since emerging from the Norwood plant in 1967. This is a top tier build for the discerning enthusiast. Exterior Two stage Jet Black paint is just this side of Musou Black, the darkest black paint money can buy, but this one doesn't absorb light, it reflects it like a polished piece of onyx, taking in black coverage on the bumpers, side mirrors and door handles. The custom built hood includes dual air scoops, accented in graphite pearl and hovering over modern black backed projector headlights and deeply smoker markers. Locking hood pins keep things under and a carbon fiber rear spoiler keeps the tail planted. She hunkers down over Forgeline GA3 wheels in argent and polished rims, 18-inch in front and 19-inch in back with enough air to allow the disc brakes to become part of wheel grouping. The paint is like glass but we do note a few bubbles around, consisting of the only imperfections we find. Interior The completely customized interior begins with a unique hourglass design on the door panels with accent lighting and carbon fiber trimmed door handle and both doors are, of course, spotless. From there, it's on to the racing harness equipped leather bucket seats with Evolution embroidered on each and contrasting stitching all around, mirrored by the rear 2+2 behind the satin black roll bar. A Momo steering wheel fronts a clean instrument cluster housing AutoMeter Spek Pro gauges and the center console rivals an aircraft cockpit with a series of white lit gauges, red needles, and a Kenwood AM/FM radio touchscreen with navigation and CarPlay. In between the screen and gauges is a row of covered toggle switches and the stack cascades the leather covered center console where a black billet shafted shifter resides along with window controls. Smooth black carpet below, even smoother headliner above, a trunk finished with gray cloth and a speaker box completes this near pristine interior space. Keeping it cool is a Haymaker II A/C unit. Drivetrain Black, red, and carbon fiber dominate the show ready bay where we find a Mast Motorsports 7.0 liter LS7 V8 capable of an incredible 690 horsepower. Under the 305 heads and within the block is a Callies DragonSlayer crank and SS cam while the Holley Dominator EFI is accompanied by twin 90mm throttle bodies. It's mated to a Magnum T56 6-spped manual with McLeod RST twin disc clutch and hydraulic throw out bearing. The Moser 12 bolt rear includes a TrueTrac carrier and 33 spline axles. Detroit Speed headers are also in the bay to begin the exhaust process. Undercarriage Clean and functional, the underside highlights the dual exhaust that finds its way to the Borla XR1 race mufflers that emit a short termination tip. Power disc brakes all around include drilled and slotted rotors and Baer 6 piston brakes, all visible behind the wheels. The Detroit Speed suspension includes a hydroformed front with coil overs and a 4 link with coil overs in back. Drive-Ability This is a fair weathered fun ride and fortunately, the car gods were smiling the day we had to take this around the loop. Tight, fast, and grounded, it performed as good as it looks and we're not even employing all of the horses under the hood. The wipers are not working but all other functions deliver as expected. While Classic Auto Mall represents that these functions were working at the time of
