This is a RARE one! 6 Speed Manual Transmission. 2008 BMW M6. First of all, this great BMW has the 8500 RPM V10 engine with 500 HP that BMW used to race in Formula 1. You will probably never see a V10 again in a production car. PLUS, this is one of just over 300 that were ordered with the 6 speed manual. We are definitely BMW M Car people. We have actually had several of this vintage M Cars with the V10. I owned one personally for several years. It was one of my favorite cars of all time. This particular one has obviously been very well treated, and given anything that it needed. Everything mechanical is exactly how it should be in my opinion based on my experience. The suspension is tight like a much newer car. The clutch and brakes are excellent. It is totally stock and original IMO. When it was traded in on a new BMW, it still had minor cosmetic damage on the front bumper from ten years ago. We had the front bumper refinished. The rest of the body is near perfect. The original M6 wheels are very nice, and have excellent tires. The exhaust is stock. The motor is exceptionally quiet. The interior shows expected wear from normal use.
I really considered keeping this car for my collection, but it would basically be a duplicate of my current M5. I just can't justify it. This beauty has been driven less than 10K miles a year, which is way less than average...total miles are 169K. I have been asked if I thought this M6 was still reliable, and I say that I wouldn't be worried about getting in her and driving across the country. This is still a great car that will thrill you like nothing else and definitely make you proud to be seen in her. You definitely won't be disappointed.
